Drive Warranty Activation
Clear, Transparent Warranty Management to Protect Your Operations
The warranty for repairs performed on drives by Global Technology SA is valid exclusively from the delivery date communicated by Global Technology SA and for a maximum period of six months.
The customer is required to promptly inform Global Technology SA of the warranty activation; otherwise, the warranty will be void. The warranty is valid only for the components that have been repaired.
Repair Warranty Conditions
Global Technology SA offers a 6-month limited warranty on repaired components only.
For example, if the output stage of the drive is repaired, the warranty will cover only the output stage for six months. Failures occurring in other sections of the drive (such as the logic board) are not covered under this warranty.
Please note that units stored in the warehouse may still age, with potential issues such as connector oxidation or capacitor degradation over time.
Warranty Activation Procedure
To correctly activate your warranty:
✅ Complete the activation form below in full.
✅ Contact Global Technology SA immediately if you do not receive a confirmation email within 24 hours of submitting the form.
Drive Warranty Terms
Drives repaired by Global Technology SA are covered by a warranty against repair-related defects for up to 1,000 operating hours or for a period of six months from the delivery date, whichever occurs first.
During this period, Global Technology SA will repair the drive free of charge if, after internal technical inspection, the defect is found to be attributable to the repair performed or to the replacement parts installed by Global Technology SA, excluding liability for any damage caused by improper use or incorrect handling by the customer.
In these cases:

Global Technology SA will perform the repair and cover any associated transport costs.

The customer cannot withdraw from the contract for minor defects or minor contractual breaches.

If the customer withdraws from the contract, no further claims for compensation will be accepted.
Limitations and Customer Responsibilities
The warranty does not cover defects caused by:

normal wear and tear,
-
improper use,
-
excessive mechanical or electrical stress,
-
unauthorized modifications to the product.
The customer:
✅ bears the burden of proof for all warranty claims,
✅ is required to allow Global Technology SA to inspect the drive claimed to be defective.
Any claims for evident defects must be reported within 2 weeks of delivery of the repaired drive. Statutory obligations for inspection and defect notification remain applicable.
Unless explicitly agreed otherwise in writing, Global Technology SA does not provide warranties beyond those required by law.
