The Guide to Drilling Solutions offers a number of suggestions for solving problems that may arise during the drilling of printed circuit boards.

Drill type MU42S with steel shank and special design of undercut and semi-mono helix. They are available in diameters from 0.10mm to 0.45mm. They are particularly suitable for filled materials. The number of holes or tool life can be increased.

UX42 drills are carbide spiral drills with a steel shank of 3.175 mm diameter. The helix is of the undercut type with a helix angle of 42 degrees. They are available in diameters from 0.15 to 0.5 mm. They are particularly suitable for multilayer drilling with filled material and high Tg. They are characterised by good chip removal, a very low breakage rate and very low deviation values.

The UX30 drills are carbide spiral drills with a steel shank with a diameter of 3.175 mm. The helix is of the undercut type with a helix angle of 30 degrees. They are available in diameters from 0.85 to 2.00 mm. They are particularly suitable for drilling high Tg multilayers. They have a very low percentage of breakage and very low deflection values.

The SX35 drills are carbide spiral drills with a steel shank of 3.175 mm diameter. The helix is standard type with a helix angle of 35 degrees. They are available in diameters from 0.10 to 0.80 mm. They are particularly suitable for drilling high Tg multilayer materials and have a very low breakage rate and very low drift.

The SD type drills are all solid carbide drills with a shank diameter of 3.175 mm. They are available in diameters from 3.00 to 6.50. They are suitable for standard PCBs.

LD LX drills are slot drills available in diameters from 0.50 to 2.00 mm.

SP30C drills are blind hole drills and are available in six diameters. The helix is tapered.
