MPK drill and router selector for multilayer PCB

How the tool selector works

The tool selector tells you which MPK article to order for your build-up: family, diameter and flute length. Enter the stack to drill (number of layers, thickness, copper and material) and the tool you need: the selector checks that the chosen flute length is really enough for your stack and warns you when it is too short.

For each choice you get the recommended stack and tool life, starting parameters, notes for routing the same material, what to avoid on that build-up and a summary for the shop floor that you can copy or print. “Request this tool” sends us the request already filled in. If you come from the stackup builder, the build is imported automatically; from here you can move on to the drilling advisor for the working parameters.

Frequently asked questions

How is it different from the drilling advisor?

The drilling advisor tells you which parameters to work with. The selector tells you which article to order and checks that the flute length suits the stack.

Are the proposed parameters final?

No: they are starting values to be confirmed with a trial on your machine.

How do I order the selected tool?

Use the “Request this tool” button: it opens an email to Global Technology with build-up, article, flute, parameters and stack already written. You can also contact us directly.
