These terms apply to the technical tools made available free of charge by Global Technology SA on the website global-technology.ch, in particular the multilayer stackup builder, the drilling and routing advisor and the process calculators (the “Tools”). By using the Tools, the user accepts these terms.

1. Indicative nature

The results, suggestions and parameters provided by the Tools are purely indicative and of a general nature. They do not constitute advice, a contractual specification, a guarantee of results or a warranty of fitness of a product for a particular purpose. The values are starting values and do not take into account the user’s actual conditions (machines, tools, materials, process).

2. User’s responsibility

The user remains solely responsible for the choice of parameters and materials, for verifying them through preliminary trials and for the quality control of its own process. In the event of any discrepancy, the data sheets and recommendations of the tool or material manufacturer prevail. Parameter levels described as “aggressive” require suitable tools, machines and extraction and are used entirely at the user’s own responsibility.

3. Exclusion of liability

To the extent permitted by law, and except in cases of wilful misconduct or gross negligence, Global Technology SA shall not be liable for damage of any kind – including tool breakage, scrap, rework, machine downtime and damage to third parties – arising from the use of the Tools or from reliance on their results. Global Technology SA does not warrant that the Tools are error-free or always available and may modify or remove them at any time.

4. No advisory relationship

Use of the Tools does not create any advisory or supply relationship. For customers of Global Technology SA the General Terms and Conditions of Sale also apply, in particular Article 4-bis. A recommendation relating to a specific application is binding only if confirmed in writing by Global Technology SA.

5. Data entered

The Tools run in the user’s browser. The data entered is not transmitted to Global Technology SA; the last build may be stored locally in the user’s browser for convenience and can be deleted by clearing the site data in the browser.

6. Ownership

The Tools and their contents are the property of Global Technology SA. They may not be reproduced or made available to third parties without written consent.

7. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are subject to the governing law and jurisdiction indicated in the General Terms and Conditions of Sale.
